Welcome to Sami's Sphynx Sweaters!

If you have been searching for customized knitted and
crocheted sweaters for your companion (sphynx or not),

When I was 4, my grandmother sat me down and showed me the basics
of knitting and crocheting. I was far too young at that time to effectively
use knitting needles (they were almost the length of my arms!), so I
created my own way to hold them so I could use them (and I still knit this
way today). As time went on, I learned more and more about the crafts
and decided that I liked knitting more than I did crocheting and for almost
20 years I continued to craft on and off. During my high school years I
made hundreds of scarves which I donated to homeless shelters and
upon reaching my early 20's began crafting more difficult items,
in my spare time.

When I was 22, I purchased my first Sphynx, Baldwin. I quickly realized
that Oklahoma summers would not permit this poor little hairless kitten
to maintain his body temperature with our air conditioner on full blast and,
therefore, made him a sweater to keep him warm.
This first sweater became an entire wardrobe.
When I began meeting other sphynx and short-haired cat (and dog) owners,
I realized that there was a great need for sweaters.
This isn't because you can't buy a sweater at any pet store for
your companion, it's because they use cheap yarn and everything is made
"one size fits all". I don't believe that this works well for pets, at all.
It is for this reason that I began offering custom
made sweaters at an affordable price from luxury yarns. Besides, you
want your pet be warm, comfortable and fashionable, right? Why put
them in itchy yarn that only gets worse over time? Spend your money on
